Sweet Bakery Coming Soon...

Well, the vote has been cast. The children have decided to open a Valentine Bakery in our dramatic play area. The brainstorming and list making continues as the children work to determine materials they need, their menu, and how we 'go about' opening a pretend bakery.
The children brainstormed some Company Names and we created a graph for everyone to 'have their say':

The children have also begun taking turns creating dough to use in their bakery:

In slightly related-but not really-news, we ask that if you have any empty Kleenex boxes on hand that you send them in with your child (more than one would also help if you can). The children will soon be making 'Mushy Mail Monsters'-a place to store all their Valentine's from their friends.
